Tim bulutangkis Indonesia untuk Kejuaraan Dunia Junior 2024 telah terbentuk. Mereka siap berburu prestasi tertinggi di level junior mulai pekan depan.
Kejuaraan Dunia Junior 2024 bergulir di kota Nanchang, China. Diawali nomor beregu yang dikenal dengan nama Piala Suhandinata pada 30 September hingga 5 Oktober, lalu berlanjut ke nomor perorangan mulai 7-13 Oktober.
PBSI mengirim kekuatan yang terdiri dari ada 10 atlet putra dan 10 atlet putri, ditambah delapan atlet yang akan turun di perorangan plus tim pendukung.

Mereka telah terbang ke Negeri Tirai Bambu pada 27 September dengan menumpang maskapai China Southern Airlines dengan nomor penerbangan CZ388 via Guangzhou.
Pelatih ganda campuran Muhammad Rijal mengungkapkan tim dalam kondisi siap bertanding. Hal itu tampak dari simulasi yang telah digulirkan sejak Rabu lalu.
“Dari simulasi hari Rabu kemarin bisa terlihat semangat, performa dan daya juang tinggi mereka,” kata Rijal dalam keterangannya melalui PBSI.

“Terkhusus di ganda campuran, kami sudah mempersiapkan diri selama kurang lebih tiga bulan. Serangkaian latihan dari teknik, fisik dan segi kesehatan semua kami jaga dengan bagus. Mudah-mudahan mereka bisa memberikan yang terbaik dan mendapat hasil yang terbaik juga,” ujarnya.

“Jadi saya mengimbau anak-anak muda khususnya dan seluruh masyarakat Indonesia. Jangan lupa menggunakan hak pilihnya datang ke TPS masing-masing ditunggu sampai siang,” ujarnya.

Sehubungan itu, Menpora berusia 33 tahun itu mengapresiasi antusiasme masyarakat yang ikut dalam Pemilu kali ini.
“Saya bahagia tentunya karena di 2024 ini antusiasme masyarakat ikut Pemilu meningkat pesat dan bisa kita lihat walaupun masih ada negative campaign dan hoaks yang tersebar, tapi saya bisa jamin ini jauh turun dari 2019 yang lalu,” kata politisi Golkar.
